This is a very decorative old confectionary tin.
It features images which relate to Atlantic City in 1926 - but I don't think that this tin dates to the 1920s. I would imagine that it actually dates to around the 1950s or 1960s and features an earlier 1920s nostalgic image.
But it is a vintage tin - and not a modern one. There were a couple of old paper-wrapped toffees still inside - as featured on the illustration on the side of the tin. These had been in there quite some time - and were a bit squidgy and sticky. I have carefully removed them and cleaned the inside of the tin - there is a little mark on the base where the paper had touched the metal.
All the same a fine decorative vintage tin. It is 3 1/2 inches in height with a diameter of 5 inches.
I have taken lots of images of the tin for your inspection.
You would not be disappointed with it. The interior is nice and clean. There are no nasty scratches or dents to the tin. Again, this would suggest these tins are not 1920s in date - but later productions despite the 1926 date mentioned in the text.
The lid features a young lady in a red bathing cap swimming in the choppy seas near Atlantic City. Around the sides are views of Atlantic City Boardwalk and the sweets themselves. These sweets were probably sold in shops on the boardwalk to visitors as holiday souvenirs.
