This is a stylish piece of early 1960s Whitefriars Glass. It is an angular vase jar.
It is Whitefriars Pattern Number 9598 and was designed by the glass maestro Geoffrey Baxter (1922-1995) in 1963.
It is very Scandinavian in inspiration - and would look great on display in a Scandi-Modern interior. Baxter was one of the leading British Glass designers of the 20th Century.
This piece was hand-blown and has a polished pontil mark on the base.
Dimensions: 17.5 cm / just under 7 inches.
It is a great addition to your Mid-Century glass collection. It is listed at a very fair price for an early 60s piece of Whitefriars Glass.
