This is a lovely 1950s large square biscuit tin.

It is large enough to store a cake or similar in.

The tin is in good vintage condition as shown in my photographs.

It is a decorated with a very fine 1950s image - consisting of a busy diamond pattern each containing a cute little chef inside.

The name of the biscuits is in red on the lid - and this is flanked by two larger chefs.

Generally scratch and scuff free - perhaps a little rubbing to the surface on the edges which is commensurate with age.

But certainly a great storage tin - and great for a vintage cake shop.

Dimensions: 9 inches square. The height is 4 3/4 inches in height.

Perfect Size Tin Fit for a Cake

It's a biscuit tin but you could easily fit a cake in it. I actually bought this tin to place all Indian cooking spices in it. They call it a Masala Dabba, but I was looking for one large enough to store everything . . . plus it looked really cool. I remember Peek Frean's 'Vita-Wheats' that I used to snack on after school when I was growing up in Australia. I have this tin now and it's great.
