This is a lovely pre-loved Waterford Crystal Glass. It is classified as being fluted champagne or larger white wine glass.
This is a single glass - handy if you are missing one from a set. I also have another three matching pairs (Code B).
The pattern looks very contemporary - and it is called "Boyne". The glass has been hand-blown and then deeply engraved with a criss-cross pattern towards the base. The foot has a cut star decoration. It has a round glass ball on the stem - which is cut all around with little facets. This fine glass was made in Ireland.
The "Boyne" design was first introduced in 1968 and discontinued in 2017. This pattern is no longer in production.
The glass is 6 inches in height. The diameter across the rim is 2 1/4 inches. The foot is 2 1/2 inches. Each glass is about 300 grams in weight.
It has an etched Waterford signature on the base - but as the base has an almost engraved star on it - it is difficult to see the mark. But it is there- you have to just catch it in the light.
It is now difficult to find these champagne glasses in such fine condition. I am listing it at a very fair price of £40.
Each of my Boyne pattern glasses is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or blooming to the interior. You will be pleased with them. I have taken lots of images for your inspection- with all the linear cut facets - it was tricky to photograph them. But I hope they give you a good idea of what they look like.
