This is an interesting old biscuit tin dating to the 1960s.
The tin was made by Cadbury to store chocolate biscuits in. It would have been sold packed up with biscuits like their chocolate fingers.
It is certainly very 1960s in the style of its graphics. I love all the little multi-coloured cartoon birds around the sides and the red stylised red apples.
As you can see from my photographs - it is in good vintage condition - with no dents or rusting. The base would have been originally a shiny silver but this has oxisided naturally with age, as to be expected. There is some little areas of scuffing to the brown colour on the outside near to the base - this has occurred when the tin has been handled for over 60 years.
I have taken lots of images for you inspection so that you can judge the condition of this rare old kitchen storage tin.
Dimensions. The height of the tin is 5 inches and the diameter is 5 1/4 inches.
I have never seen another tin with this design on it and it is very handy not just for storing biscuits but perhaps sugar, teabags or if you have birds - some bird seed!
