This is a rare survivor.
This is a little Art Deco blue celluloid cover for a vintage cardboard box of Max Factor Powder. It is in excellent vintage condition.
The original card base to an old powder box is still present inside - you can still get those big vintage Max Factor refill boxes online quite easily.
You would have used this box to store some of your loose powder and place it on your dressing table.
The powder box pushes out from below. There is a little cover inside and the top or outer lid screws on. I love that all the original labels are still present - which tells us that the original shade of power would have been called Rachelle.
The cover is not really for keeping in your handbag - it is a powder box cover for display in your boudoir or bathroom.
The diameter is 3 ¼ inches, and the height is just over 2 inches.
