This is a cute little hand-painted PAIR of early 20th century Bough pottery coffee cans and saucers. They have a hand-painted floral pattern on them.

These cans and saucers were probably a little blank of this earthenware vase which was made by Maling and Sons, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and used by Bough Pottery.
The decoration features the attractive stylized flowers that you find on Bough pieces. The center of each saucer is decorated with pink flower blossom and big red berries or rose hips set against a blue background. The same motif is picked up on the band around the rim of each cup.
CONDITION: In good condition for Bough pieces now 90 years old - with no chips or cracks. A perfect pair of cups and saucers are quite hard to find - so this is reflected in my asking price. I have them priced at £35 for each pair.

The dimension of each coffee can is height: 2 1/2 inches and the diameter is 2 3/4 inches. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
Bough Pottery was founded by Elizabeth and Richard Amour in the 1920s. They specialized in decorating blanks - which they bought in from pottery companies in England and Scotland (many from Maling Pottery, Newcastle).
