These are lovely large pieces of 1960s Hornsea Pottery.
They are all larger-sized spice pots. They all match and have the intended contents' names printed on the front of the pot; as photographed. Each spice canister has its original wooden lid - and rubber seal to keep your contents fresh.
I also have a matching larger canister for flour on my site. Postal discounts would apply if you wish to order these as well.
The pattern has been influenced by old Rococo c-scroll motifs - and jazzed by by the designers John Clappison and Gordon Hellewell for Hornsea. The repeat pattern of fancy scrolls printed in black on a white body is very effective - and rather Pop Art or Carnaby Street in feel. These pieces were made between 1965 and 1972. This abstract pattern is very popular today.
It is lovely to find a group of six larger-sized spice jars. Each jar measures just under 5 inches and has a diameter of 3 inches. The jars were designed to hold the following contents: Parcel, Sage, Cinnamon, Ginger Thyme and All Spice. I am pricing them at just over £12 each pot.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or staining.
The six jars will be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded (Large Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
