This is a nice little pot made by Elton Ware (Clevedon) Pottery.
It is made of terracotta pottery and an applied dark blue glaze to the exterior - the front of the pot is embellished with relief slipware seedpods or berries. These are not covered with the blue glaze but are a brown shade like the main body of the pot. The reverse of the pot has no decoration just the fine dark blue glaze.
The pot is globular in shape with two ears or lips at each side, as photographed. It is a pretty little decorative pot for a Victorian or Arts and Crafts interior.
The base is signed E.H. Elton (for Sir Edmund Harry Elton (1846 - 1920)). It is 4 3/4 inches in height. From ear to ear it is 4 inches. The diameter at the widest point is 4 1/2 inches.
UK Postage will be for Royal Mail Tracked postage - this will cost about £5.50 and applied at the checkout.
