These Cornishware pieces always look great on display in your kitchen.
This is a harder to find Cornishware (or Cornish Blue) Coffee Pot with plunger mechanism. It was a product that was introduced into the range after 2001 when Mason Cash took over the TG Green brand. I think that these products have now been discontinued - so they are rather collectable, despite their more recent date of creation. The Mason Cash / TG Green company was sold again in 2004 to The Tabletop Group. So this item would have been in production for just over period of three years.
My coffee pot has never been used and is in excellent condition. It has its internal plunger to hold back the coffee grounds in the base of the pot. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or nasty staining or discolouration to the pottery.
I have taken lots of photos of the coffee plunge pot for your inspection. I havent been able to find another example - so this is problem an item for the specialist Cornishware collector who would like to add one to their collection.
It is a nice larger size. Height 8 1/2 inches. The diameter of the pot is 4 1/2 inches. From spout to handle is 6 1/4 inches. The knop of the plunger section is made of plastic and not ceramic. The plunger was probably out-sourced to a company specializing in the manufacture of coffee pot plungers.
