This base consists of two pieces - and the clear glass candle cup holder is embossed on the base: S.CLARKE PATENT FAIRY CRICKLITE with the usual dancing fairy trademark at the centre. The base holders are both in damage free condition and originate from the same source.

The shade is a pretty blush pink and pale yellow matt (satin) finish Burmese Glass. It is in good antique condition - with no major damages - a couple of little frits to the rim where it fits into the clear base - and this has occurred with handling over more than 100 years - to probably acceptable - and indeed taken into consideration with my pricing. I have photographed these in extreme close up for you on each one.

Burmese glass has an interesting history - it was originally made by the American Company, Mount Washington Glass in the early 1880s - and a few years later they gave permission to Thomas Webb to make the glass in England.

This fine Burmese glass fairy lamp with matte (satin) finish was made by Thomas Webb in the late 1880s. The glass was expensive to produce and was often only made in small quantities. The glass proved to be relatively thin and fragile.

The attractive subtle colours were achieved by adding uranium oxide and gold to the opal glass. The glass artist must have been taking inspiration from Tiffany Glass to produce this lovely piece.

The vase is more of a miniature scale of globular shape and with a flared neck. The interest is in the layering and gathering of all the glass colours, applications and dazzling lustre effects.

The height of the vase is just under 4 inches - and the diameter at the widest point is about 3 3/4 inches.

The glass is like a like painting done with glass. The bottom section has a dark dull gold band - which looks like earth. Above this is a base colour of silvery-metallic lustre pale blue - and this turns to a more subtle slightly darker blue towards the neck. There are peppermint green and brown trails of glass running up and down the sides - and these are further embellished with tiny white daisy flowers applied all over at random. At the top are peacock trail loops which are surrounded by iridescent blue shades of glass.

The neck interior is a sky blue lustre - and you look inside the little vase and you see that it is made of a rich Royal blue shade.

Although a smaller size - the value of this piece is in the skill used in the making - it is a unique piece - and you will not find another like it.

Have taken lots of images - these will give you an idea of all the exquisite details in this top quality piece of Okra. Rare Royal Memorabilia

This is a rarer Royal commemorative - made in 1888 to celebrate the 25th Wedding Anniversary of Edward VII (then the Prince of Wales) and his Danish wife, Alexandria.

It is much more common to find items of this type celebrating his coronation in 1902 - and these earlier pressed glass plates for his Silver Wedding celebrations are much rarer.

It is a lovely shallow bowl that measures 8 1/2 inches square - and has a height of 4 inches.

As you can see from my photographs - it is certainly a very attractive piece of antique Royal memorabilia - the plate reads: The Silver Wedding of the / Prince and Princess of Wales / Long Live our Prince / Long Live our Princess. The three feathers symbolizing the Prince of Wales are in the center - and below are the dates of their wedding and anniversary, on each side.

I have photographed both the front and back for your inspection.

The glass is pressed with little hobnail texture - and this helps it twinkle in the light.

It is in good antique condition with no cracks or nasty chips - a beautiful and rarer display piece.

Fair price for a harder-to-find Royal souvenir. I have another variant of this design on offer in my Iconic Edinburgh online store.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/king-edward-vii-silver-wedding-clear-pressed-glass-bowl-1863-1888-9-inches-rare-royal-memorabilia-british-651.webp?v=1781421994
vintage-pyrex-oval-divided-serving-dish-gaiety-pink-daisy-with-stand-original-retail-box
1950s Vintage PYREX GAEITY Oval Divided Serving Dish Gaiety PINK DAISY with Stand & Original Retail Box

I love this original early 1950s Pyrex Serving Dish with its Original Heating Stand - you place the dish and contents on the little metal stand - and pop a couple of little candles in the two sections below to keep the dish and contents nice and warm. It is a great item for more formal dinner parties, slow eaters etc.

This dish is in an attractive sugar pink colour and with a collectable white daisy pattern around the outside, as photographed. It has its original clear lid. Both sections have the old PYREX mark. This design was made from 1956 - 1961.

It has hardly been used - and the serving dish is in excellent vintage condition - with no signs of use. The metal stand below is in very good excellent condition - there are remnants of old melted candle wax inside the candle's aperture - but have left that in there - so that you could use the heating section right away if you so wished.

It comes with its original cardboard retail box - these rarely survive - it is admittedly slightly tatty on the lid at the top - but it is an old corrugated printed box over 60 years old now. The rare retail box, the attractive colour and the sought-after daisy pattern - plus the lovely condition are all considered in my asking price. Probably more of an item for the specialist pyrex collector. A special piece for a mid-century kitchen.

I have taken lots of images for your inspection.

Dimensions: the dish is 12 3/4 inches x 8 1/2 inches x 3 inches. The stand is 14 1/2 inches handle to handle. At its widest, it is 7 3/4 inches. Height of 3 3/4 inches. This will make it a 1 1/2 Quart Size Dish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/1950s-vintage-pyrex-gaeity-oval-divided-serving-dish-gaiety-pink-daisy-with-stand-original-retail-box-british-glass-579.webp?v=1781543344
copy-of-1950s-vintage-pyrex-gaeity-oval-divided-lidded-serving-dish-gaiety-pink-daisy
Two 1950s Vintage PYREX GAEITY Serving Dishes.
