This is a fabulous and large piece of Ditchfield Studio Glass.
It was made by the glass maestro John Ditchfield (b. 1952) and probably dates to the late 1980s.
Engraved unique edition number No. 5629 and retains its original Glasform sticker.
It has an engraved signature: J. Ditchfield and engraved with the word Glasform and the collection issue number.
It is a lovely organic barrel-shape and is made of chunky opaque milky white glass - this has horizontal zebra stripes of black / silver luster glass. It also has big dripping globules of black iridescent glass around the rim. The exterior is decorated with Tiffany-style iridescent subtle luster and peacock feather sheens, as photographed.
I have taken a lot of images for your inspection.
I have three vintage Ditchfield special collection pieces on sale in my shop - they are quite unique in the making - and this is reflected in my asking price. This vase has come from my own personal collection, and I have owned it for many years.
Dimensions: 9 3/4 inches in height. The diameter is 6 1/2 inches.
Unpacked it weighs a stonking 2.1 kg
UK Postage Only. The vase will be carefully packed in a large sturdy box and sent to you with Parcelforce48 - this will cost about £10 and will be applied at checkout.
