This is a fine Norwegian Scandinavian / Brutalist Design bowl made by Arnold Wiigs Fabrikker.
It is a fine piece of studio pottery - and is very Scandinavian "folk art" in design and style.
It has its original paper label on the base - these are often lost.
The vase looks for traditional Scandinavian forms for inspiration. The exterior is textured and has incised decorations and the interior is textured all over, as photographed.
The diameter is 9 ½ inches and the height is 6 ½ inches.
The AWF company was first established in 1943 - and ceased trading in 1977.
This large bowl is in fine vintage condition with no damages. It is a fine piece for display - and obviously will look amazing on a Scandi-modern bureau or cabinet.
