I adore this vintage Swedish teapot - it is now discontinued and much harder to find.
This is a lovely vintage Mon Amie Teapot has a nice squat shape. I also have other pieces in this pattern - which can be combined to make up a whole set.
This listing is for a this attractive vintage Mon Amie Teapot as photographed. It has a large loop handle, short and rather chubby spout and little lid with a ball knop on the top. It also has its original metal tea strainer / diffuser inside. This is in excellent clean and damage free condition.
It will hold 1.3 litres of tea!
The pattern was designed by the Swedish ceramic artist, Marianne Westman (1928 - 2017). It has the vintage Rorstrand mark to the base as photographed.
The design was first produced in 1952 and was continued to be a very popular piece of Scandinavian mid-century design.
These highly coveted pieces are covered all over with lots of Royal Blue stylised flowers.
The Mon Amie mark on the bottom was used on wears produced from 1952 and right up until the 1980s.
All my Mon Amie items are in perfect condition with no damages.
The teapot measures 5 3/4 inches in height (to the top of the lid). The diameter is 5 3/4 inches and from handle to spout to is 9 1/4 inches. Unpacked it weighs 900 grams.
