This is a very attractive set of vintage Murano millefiori beads - which form a 24-inch (61 cm) long necklace.
The beads are all good quality vintage ones - probably 1920s or 1930s in date.
The necklace has a total of 23 clear glass beads which are all shimmer inside with the inclusion of gold aventurine flakes. They are all separated by tiny pink-toned pairs of coloured lampwork spacer beads, as photographed. There are smaller lampwork beads to the back near the old brass barrel clasp. At the end of each gold glitter bead - there are decorative brass end caps - again a sign of quality.
The beads are hand-made and all the same size - each with a diameter of about 1.3 cm. All the beads in my shop I have personally owned for many years and all came to me from the same source - so assuming they are all in the same general date range (ie first half of the 20th century). They are certainly not Chinese in origin !
I have taken lots of close up images of this lovely necklace. You can see from my photographs - that the canes used are the finest ones and that each bead has been skillfully made by hand.
All the beads are in good condition with no chips or cracks. No damages.
The necklace has a good length to it - and it can go over your head. with ease - so really no need to use the clasp.
If you wish to use the clasp - this is an old brass barrel-shaped one which would sit on the back of your neck.
It is on offer here at a fair price given its age, the quality of each beads, and the amount of work that has gone into making it.
