The decoration on each little bead a very labour intensive - and they can really be considered miniature works of art. At this level - they are created by some of the most talented glassblowers in Venice.

Each bead on my necklace has been created one at a time and the intricate layering, tiny raised details and hand decoration are similar to the piped icing on a wedding cake (hence the nickname). Each set of wedding cake beads is unique and always slightly different - no two strands are identical - and often the quality can vary depending on the skill of the craftsman.

Obviously, my price reflects the age and top quality of all these lovely hand-made Venetian beads going to make up this beautiful old necklace.

UK Postage will with Royal Mail Tracked. I havent seen other ones quite like these before, so am listing them at £30 each.

They are nice vintage ones - dating to around the late 1980s but looking back to earlier Art Deco for inspiration.

They are each made of thick moulded clear glass - and have thin perspex bung lids - two lids are in bright olive green and another in chocolate brown - each has a large clear plastic disc handle, as photographed.

The underside of the lid has an etched signature: Morgan (again as photographed) which I suspect must be the manufacturer.

I think that these are very possibly American in origin and the dynamic shape reminds me a little of ceramic Fiesta pitchers. Never seen another set of them.

Hope that my photographs do these old jars justice - they were rather tricky to photograph with all the reflections. They are all in excellent damage free condition.

Each jar is in perfect condition with no damages and measures 8 x 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Unpacked each is 1.2 kg.

They would look great on display in a kitchen or shop with brightly coloured contents - or for more basic staples such as rice or pasta.

Due to the weight - they would have to be posted with Parcelforce24.
