Here is a rare vintage 1970s Sterling silver pendant in the form of a long oblong silver ingot.
The hallmark is for Sheffield 1978 and the "RC" maker's initials are for Carr's of Sheffield Ltd. They were based in the 1970s at Holbrook Avenue. The firm was established in 1976.
These pieces of vintage 1970s jewellery are now very collectable.
My vintage pendant is in fairly good vintage condition and looks much better in "real life" than suggested in my close-up photographs. There is one tiny ding to the edge at the bottom (towards the back) as photographed.
The ingot section measures: 4 cm x 1.5 cm. The chain is a top quality and heavy one. It has a total length of 28 inches (roughly 71 cm). It can easily go over your head without having to open the catch. The catch of the chain has a lion's head mark and 925 as photographed.
The ingot and the silver Rolo chain have a total weight of 58 grams. It is in generally good condition - the chain is really quite stunning! The ingot has a wee teeny weeny ding to the bottom edge at the back - and a couple of scratches on the front near the RC letters - you cant see these when on display - and have photographed them in extreme close-up for you.
I am pricing the ingot at £45 and the chain would be about £75. Due to its length and weight.
Recorded Postage with Royal Mail will be added to your order at the checkout. The pendant will be sent in a simple gift box.
