This is a sweet little brooch by the celebrated Scottish designer, Norman Grant (b.1943)
It is a more simple design by him - and takes the form of an abstract cross shape contained within a circle. The cross is infilled with a lovely burnt orange coloured enamel within raised lines. An unusual one with such a more pared-down design for Grant.
The back is textured and has the Norman Grant Monogram and 925 mark.
The pin is nice and secure and has a c-ring safety clasp.
It is a smaller size - so pretty on a jacket lapel or on a soft hat or cap.
The diameter is 2.8 cm.
It will be sent to you in a simple black hinged lid velveteen gift box - as photographed. My price is a fair one for this fine brooch by him taking into account its smaller size. Larger pieces often sell for prices of over £250.
It is nice and clean (as new condition) - it would make a great gift and is all ready to wear.
