This is nice wee vintage Scottish brooch. It measures: 3 cm x 2.5 cm. The central stone is raised to form a dome shape.
It has a large green Scottish stone - think that it might be a piece of polished Connemara marble or a green agate. The large oval stone with held in place with claws and the silver surround features little thistle motifs. The thistle design has been cut out - so a bit of skill has going into the making of it. It has a safety ring closure.
The silver has a distressed patina - to give an impression of it being an older Victorian piece. But I can accurately date it - as it has an Edinburgh hallmark for the year 1971. It also has a maker's mark: AH.
It is a great wee vintage Scottish silver brooch - great for a label or cap. Great price for a vintage Scottish silver brooch.
Postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded Post. It will be in a little gift box for you to keep it safe and home.
