It is of good quality and not a flimsy item - and I am sure that you will be happy with your purchase.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe interior of the bracelet is plain and shiny - the exterior has a fine engraved floral pattern to the front half - and plain to the back area.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe catch takes the form of a buckle (as you might find on a belt). This buckle clasp is very well made and looks quite fabulous - it is certainly a bit of a showstopper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a vintage piece - probably dating to the second half of the 20th century - it has hardly been worn and is in such excellent condition with no damages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has a good quality heavy duty hinge to allow you to open it up nice and wide to pop onto your wrist quite easily. To open - you lift the buckle clasp up - then pull the end and the front swings open - as you can see in my images. Easy to take on and off yourself - I have tried this.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt such a pretty little bracelet and would be suitable for a younger lady, although it would fit a more slender size of wrist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is 2 cm wide (2.5 at the widest point) - and has an inside diameter of 6 cm. The circumference would be about 7 inches. It is very minuscule and minor in nature. Just a couple of wee stitches to secure would sort this out. The bag has its original butter yellow fine silk lining - which is in the main intact - but has one little area of \"splitting\" to the silk lining near the top - this is commensurate with age of the bag - and also the delicate nature of the fine silk - but it is generally pretty good.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is looped fringing made of the tiniest clear and emerald lampwork bead along the bottom - this is all present. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the top is a metal clasp - not sure if it is silver plate on brass - but it is very decorative with an engraved pattern of small flowers and scrollwork. It has a pair of balls to open and close. Condition - as noted above. I love the pattern on this one - it is certainly stunning. The main body colour comes from clear beads - which glisten in the light and look like silver. Along the bottom on each side is the same intricate design. This shows a country cottage garden in full bloom in summer - blue hollyhocks to one side, blousy pink roses, lustre pink daisy type flowers - and some red and red and white flowers throughout. Above near the clasp is a garland of lime green leaves and pale pink blush flowers. These are also in a random band in the central area. - it is all quite, quite exquisite - and I hope that my photos do it full justice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProbably a bag for the more specialist collector for display purposes - given the relative fragility of the construction and fine beads - but if you are careful with it - you could, of course, use it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHeight to top of the clasp from the bottom of the bag is about 10 inches (not including the fringes) – and width is 7 3\/4 inches. The depth of the bag is 3 inches.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt is in pretty good vintage condition. All the stitching is intact - and there are no splits to the sides or nasty scuffs to the base of the bag. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe handle is fine and firm - there is no splitting or wear to the lizard skin on the handles where it attaches to the metal handle loops on the top of the bag. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI love the little clasp on the top of the bag - it is made of dull brass and takes the form of three little dancing waves. You tilt the clasp back and the bag opens up - and to close - it snaps shut. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGrey suede interior - which is relatively nice and clean for its age - no pen marks or horrible smells. I have cleaned it before listing so ready to use. The silk has woven Chinoiserie patterns all over - little Chinese men and women sitting beside incense burners and small garden tables or pagodas. The detailing is very delicate in detail. The little single handle is made of the same material - this is in generally fine condition with no wear or damages. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThere is a gilded metal frame around the outer edges - and when you flip the little catch at the top - the bag drops open in a concertina fashion. The interior is made of cream silk: sadly, this is where it starts to get a little shabby chic - the silk has a couple of area of staining - but not grubby in any way - just a few marks which come with age. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThere is a little central mirror which is encased in silk and on a pivot. The mirror is in good clean condition with no damages. There is also a little built-in coin purse - and a few little pockets on the other side. They are certainly quality items made in Murano, Venice. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have taken lots of close-up images of this lovely necklace. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs you can see - all the blue beads are formed from a vibrant turquoise  \/ sky-blue coloured glass - with a finely applied lace trail of gold aventurines on top of each bead - on the glittering gold foils are applied tiny pink glass decorations in the shape of tiny roses - and little dots of blue and white glass dots representing little forget-me-nots.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a mark of quality - each bead is then embellished with a gold metal bead cap (with tiny applied black enamel dots) top and bottom of each blue bead.  These are fine additions to this set. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the blue beads are in excellent condition with no damage. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn between each blue bead are spacers - a selection of little simple sugar-pink beads and smaller clear (pearl-like) lampwork glass beads. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe necklace fastens with its original screw barrel clasp.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are probably items for the more specialist collector - who will recognize the quality of this set. They are simply so opulent and luxurious - the colours are so subtle and pretty. Nice length and would sit nicely across your upper chest - so great to wear with a simple high-necked black sweater - which would show this set to its best advantage. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHISTORY: These old beads are made in Murano and are called \"fiorato\" style. This term means that they are \"floral\" and feature patterns made up of tiny flowers - that have been all hand-painted on the glass using a thin glass cane - this is now held over a flame so that the glass all melts together. The decoration on each little bead a very labour intensive - and they can really be considered miniature works of art. At this level - they are created by some of the most talented glassblowers in Venice. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEach bead on my necklace has been created one at a time and the intricate layering, tiny raised details and hand decoration are similar to the piped icing on a wedding cake (hence the nickname). So I would say a really good fit would be if your wrist measured 7 inches to 7 1\/2 inches.
