This is a very beautifully made piece of vintage Norwegian silver.
It dates to around the mid-20th century and was made by Magnus Aase of Bergen.
It is a finely made - as you can see in my images - and it is a special gift for "someone who has everything" - a fabulous and decorative tea strainer.
It measures 7 inches (18 cm in length) - the diameter of the bowl section is 3 1/4 (8 cm). The depth is an inch (2.5 cm).
It weighs approx 50 grams in weight.
It is a very special piece and these vintage 830S strainers are now very hard to source. This one has particularly fine Rococo scrolls forming pierce work on the handle - and I love the delicate and very decorative outer band - and the shell-shaped embellishment where you would rest the strainer on the side of your teacup - as you pour a refreshing drink from your pot.
As you can see from my images - it is in excellent damage free condition - and is fully marked on the reverse - with all expected marks, as photographed.
I CAN POST INTERNATIONALLY, PLEASE ASK FOR A POSTAGE QUOTE OUTSIDE OF THE UK.
