This is a fabulous set of FOUR vintage kitchen interstacking storage canisters.
It is the second such set in my online store- this has fish motifs - the other has birds!
The wooden boxes date from the 1950s and are now quite hard to find - and in good condition.
The canisters are made of wood - and look fabulous on display in a period kitchen.
The best thing about them is (like Russian dolls) they are inter-stackable and all fit inside each other, as shown.
They are in a pretty good vintage condition - nice and clean. Even still retain their original Irene Series / Foreign paper labels.
Love the vintage decoration on the front of each box - all hand-painted, almost abstract images - featuring strange blue fish. juicy grapes and wine carafes
Largest box is 5 ½ x 5 ¼ inches. Height is 6 ¼ inches. The smallest box is 3 ½ x 3 inches. Height is 4 ¼ inches. Generally in good condition
Unpacked - they are 1.4 kg in weight.
Although I did not use these storage boxes - they can, of course, be used - however, it might be best to line each box with a bit of tin foil to prevent any staining to the wood - and to keep them in clean condition.
I also have a matching biscuit barrel in my shop - which is quite rare - postal discounts would of course apply.
