I love this wee piece of late 1960s kitsch design.
This dates to the 1960s / early 1970s and comes with its original box. It is rare to find these with the box still present.
I almost love the box as much as the fan. It is in pretty good condition - with funky 60s lettering reading "fan flower". It was made in Hong Kong.
The fan itself is made of bright green plastic - with a little orange switch at the side to turn it on and off. The flower head is yellow and brown - and there are two decorative bright green leaves on a ring section that slides on over the main battery compartment.
There is a little metal rotating pin on the front - you pop on the little sunflower head onto this and when switched on the flower head spins quickly producing a cooling breeze.
I have popped in a battery to check it out - and it is functioning perfectly.
I note (as mentioned on the box) that there might have originally been a little stand section - shown as the blue bit - but this is an extra and not really needed if you plan to hold this fan in your hand.
It is nice and clean - hardly used and in good vintage condition. Taken lots of images for your inspection.
It is all the same - a very strange old design item and priced to take into account its rarity, excellent condition and that it retains in pretty fine condition, its original box.
