This is a quirky piece of 1960s Royal Copenhagen Faience ware.
It takes the form of a round flash - with a strange hand-painted bird design on each side, as photographed.
The designer was Marianne Johnson.
Overall height is 5 1/4 inches. The diameter is 4 ¼ inches.
It is a rather more unusual example given that the sides are a rich chocolate brown colour - it is more usual to see this vase in blue or purple shades.
This one is in excellent vintage condition with no damages.
