This is a vintage puppet dating to the 1970s.
He is probably an item for the collector of Pelham Puppets, Rod Hull and Emu - or TV Tie in Items.
Emu is in very good vintage condition - he is made of hard plastic with bright blue faux fur feathers.
He has big black and white plastic eyes - and his large red and yellow beak... made of felt. He has rope lefts and large moulded plastic feet.
The strings are original as is the wooden crossbar.
He comes with his original instructions leaflets (often missing) and in his original box.
He is about 18 inches or 46 cm in height - so rather a large puppet.
His box has its original contents sticker on the side - this reads: ROD HULL'S / EMU / c HIBOUE PRODUCTIONS / LIMITED 1977.
