Please note that these are only miniature toy replicas of antique guns or firearms. They are not functioning items but for display and collectors only.
This set is a very rare – and this is reflected in my asking price. They set is also in quite exceptional condition – and looks like it has never been played with – all parts are complete and in the fitted red flock compartments in the box. The only thing that is missing is a little roll of paper caps or keps (these often deteriorate over time and are easily available online for modern toys guns!). There is a little loss to the chrome on the firing pin area of one of the guns - but this seems to be a common occurence on this piece - so perhaps this happens in the making of it.
My miniature set of cap guns was made by BCM of Derby England and date to the late 1960s. The are good quality die-cast ones.
I think they must be in good working condition – as they seem to have been carefully store in this box and not played with for the last 50 plus years. The box is in good condition with all the contents and cleaning instructions printed on the inside of the lid. The exterior of the box is printed and made to look like it has been made of wood. The oil bottle is present – but looks like the oil might have vapourated over the years – there are remnants only inside. All the miniature guns are without condition issues – so hard to find these in this condition. The Colt model gun is 5 inches in length; the Pistolet is 3 inches long and the Pirate Gin is 3 ½ inches long.
The box is nice and clean and is 10 inches x 4 ½ inches.
A very fine set – probably for a specialist toy or miniature model gun collector. These don’t come up for sale that often. Postage would be with Royal Mail Special Recorded Delivery. Due to the nature of the contents etc – I would be unable to post outside the UK – I think that they would be confiscated at customs!
