This is a cute little collector's item for the collector of antique toys and games.
It is a miniature antique child's toy typewriter. It is made of tinplate and litho-printed with colours and details.
The little toy dates to the 1920s - and was made in the USA, as marked on the wheel section, along with the patent numbers. It is called a Simplex Typewriter Practical No. 100 and comes with its original box with the instructions printed on the lid.
The box is in good antique condition - I love the little decorative metal staples on the corners to give the box strength. The exterior is realtivey nice and clean and free from scribbles or tears - there are some old ink stains on the interior section of the box, as photographed.
The typewriter itself is in good vintage condition and looks good on display. It would have worked by turning the dial and pressing the wheel down to strike the letter onto paper.
I don't know if it works anymore - but I am selling this purely as a decorative item and collector's toy for display only.
The box measure 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches with a height of 2 1/2 inches.
The wee miniature typewriter will be poted to you with Royal Mail Recorded Post. This will be charged at £4.95 and applied to your order at checkout.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
