Woman and Cow","description":"\u003cp\u003eI always have a bit of a soft spot for old Staffordshire Figurines, and none more so than these pretty examples with feature milkmaids standing beside a cow.   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis one is utterly charming and all the more so in that it also serves as a little creamer or milk jug.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis is a lovely example and given its age (it dates to the late 19th century) it is in remarkable condition. There are no chips or damages. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA pretty lady or milkmaid stands beside a white Crummie who is decorated with spongeware dabbled patches of black. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe group stands on an oval base painted with green grass. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe milkmaid has finished for the day - and she stops for a moment to rest her arm on the rump of the cow - and looks out at us as viewers. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eShe wears a white broad-brimmed hat, which is where you fill with milk or creams. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eShe wears a blue laced-up jacket over her white bodice.
