Yellow Painted Eyes","description":"\u003cp\u003eThese are a fine pair of antique Victorian Staffordshire dogs - they take the form of a pair of seated chimney spaniels.  They are genuine Victorian examples, and definitely not reproductions. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThey are nicely modelled examples with no chips or cracks - they have yellow painted eyes. They are a matched pair, as created. They have a burnt orange bands around their muzzles.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEach dog has a little gold-coloured collar with a padlock on it - the padlock and chain on each dog have some rubbing and quite a lot of losses to the gilding - but this is common on these old Victorian examples. There are two air holes in the back of each dog, as photographed. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThey are fine display pieces - and will look fabulous on a mantlepiece or old-fashioned kitchen dresser. They are a smaller pair- and these are perfect for a today's interiors.  The smaller ones are often harder to find. Apart from losses to the old gold gilt - there are no damages, cracks or chips on my dogs.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHeight: 8 1\/2 inches.
