It dates to the later 19th century or early 20th century and is very simple and stylish in form.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main body of the ice pail is made of a plain thick clear glass - which is enlivened by the inclusion of an engraved star decoration in the base. There is a beautifully made silver plate collar around the rim and a fine swing handle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a little maker's mark on the side of one of the brackets (as photographed). This mark shows a little cupid with his bow and contained within a shield.
