It is so beautifully made and is therefore both functional and attractive. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe shade is not original to the lamp but dates to the same period - around 1905. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe shade is antique and is not a modern reproduction. The vaseline glass shade is in excellent condition with no damages. It looks just so pretty on the lamp. It is bell-shaped with a frilled edge. The tips of the edge section are more opaque pale creamy yellow in colour. The central area is clearer and pale yellow in hue. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe shade measures as follows: height roughly 3 1\/2 inches and the diameter is 7 1\/4 inches. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe overall height of the upstand is 22 1\/2 inches and the diameter of the base is 5 1\/2 inches. The length of the arm section is 9 inches. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe arm section can be moved up and down by loosening the beautiful thumb screw (as photographed) so that the curved arm section holding the shade and be pulled up and down the upstand.
