She was part of the influential Darwin-Wedgwood family \u0026amp; granddaughter of the naturalist Charles Darwin. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the first women to go to art college in England: she went to the Slade in 1908. She was one of the founding members of the Society of Wood Engravers and was instrumental in the 20th-century revival of the medium.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy print is in excellent condition. It comes with a fresh new mount and is framed in a plain \u0026amp; simple black frame all ready to hang straight onto your wall.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have taken images of the sheet before it has been sent to the framers. These photographs show that the engraving has been printed onto the original uncut sheet of paper and that his has not been laid down or glued onto a backing sheet at any point in the past. There are edition numbers and other details in the margins. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in lovely condition with no issues. It is a much sought-after work by her and listed here at a very fair price to include the new frame.
