Each has the old engraved Stuart mark on the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAround the rim is a band of etched vertical lines forming a zig-zag fan type pattern. Below is an engraved ring running around the glass and underneath his are a profusion of deeply engraved and polished oval facets. They cover the whole of the glass right down to the stem. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe stem is a short one, making these glasses perfect for white wine or perhaps as a taller gin and tonic glass. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe foot has a deeply carved star and again, surrounded with more fan shaped patterns. All just totally exquisite. So much work has gone into these. They are rare survivors and I have been unable as yet to find other examples in this pattern. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGreat glasses for adding a bit of sophistication to your cocktail hour and formal dining. They certainly make the contents taste so much better. Just don't fill with Buckfast! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the glasses are in excellent condition with no damages of any kind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: Height is 5 3\/8 inches. The rim is 2 7\/8 inches and the diameter of the foot is 2 3\/8 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHISTORY: First manufactured in England in the late 1880s by Frederick Stuart and, later by his sons, the company was successful right up until 1995, when it was purchased by Waterford Wedgwood.
