I adore it! It was made by Carlton Ware and the patterh is called Sketching Bird. It is fully marked on the base with all issue details. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in excellent condition with no damages, and no losses to the gilding or the paintwork. Nice and clean inside - where you can really see the glories of the lustre finish on the glaze. There is no sign of any crazing on this piece - which you often find on similar ones. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vase is an attractive globular shape and will look great in a period Art Deco interior. The decoraton features an exotic sketching bird (a little like a kingfisher). The bird is shown in full flight with equally exotic trees and foliage in the background. There are a lot of exquisite details on the composition picked out in gold. The decoration on the vase in lots of areas is hand-applied and raised from the surface - to give it more of a hand-made feel. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a nice measuring about 6 inches in height. The diameter at the widest point is 6 1\/2 inches. The rim is 4 1\/4 inches.
