This is fabulous vintage pendant hanging shade - dating to the 1970s
It is made of brushed aluminium metal - with a satin finish.
It will look great in a minimalistic indoor or as part of a futuristic space-age look.
I think that this one is by or after a design by the celebrated designer, Johannes Hammerborg made in the 60s.
I think that this one is called a Hercules Lamp and was made for Fog and Morup.
It has a curly black cloth cable and black plastic rose cover, as photographed.
I love the bulb holder section with its decorative tube - which runs all the way through the shade and acts as the handle for pulling the lamp down or up as required. The inside is a white matt enamel colour - and a vintage sticker saying that the maximum wattage would be 100 w.
The shade is in good condition with the very minor hardly noticeable scratches to a couple of places on the surface - which you need to twist the lamp in bright daylight to see - and certainly will be guaranteed unseen when the lamp is installed.
No dents or other issues. Sold in good clean condition with no grubbiness and all ready for you to hang.
It takes a bayonet (not a screw in) bulb. It is not a heavy light being made of aluminium - so no need to worry about weight on your ceiling fitment.
Dimensions: Diameter at the bottom of the shade is 13 1/2 inches. Diameter at the top of the shade is 10 1/2 inches. Length of the looped handle section is 10 1/2 inches. The total length of cable from bulb holder to the rose top is 21 inches.
