Plus Vintage Sausages Price Tag","description":"\u003cp\u003eGosh! you wont see another one of these in a hurry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a rare survivor from a food shop which sold sausages in a Scottish food shop.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis would have been on display in a grocer's shop in the days before all items are pre-packed and kept in a chill cabinet - and you would have had daily deliveries of fresh food stuffs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis unit is made of clear plastic with a deep white plastic base container for the sausage links to sit in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cover - advertises Hall's sausages - there is are two original big 60s stickers - and another 60s sticker saying delivered fresh daily.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe clear plastic cover would keep the contents underneath nice and clean - and you swivel the lid to take your fresh bangers out for a customer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has been a bit tricky to photograph - so I hope that you get the idea of the rather triangular \u0026amp; strangely angled shape of the unit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt measures: the width is 17 inches - the depth is just over 11 1\/2 inches. The overall height is 6 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comes with an old pricing sticker for Kirkpatrick's sausages - as photographed. This is quite large on a metal pin that you would stick into the meat - it is 4 inches x 3 1\/2 inches - there is a swivel window to allow you to change your price. This in itself is a rare wee thing! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA very strange piece of retail history - might look good in a vintage cafe - or in a vintage food stall - or just as a quirky storage unit in your kitchen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDont think that many of these things survived the 60s - they would have been thrown out when food was all pre-packaged and kept in fridges in the shop - not behind counters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI will have to send to you in a medium size parcel with the Royal Mail - so this will push up postage costs a little on this item - but I want to to be safe in transit to you. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePostage would be with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel).
