This is a stylish piece of vintage British Studio Pottery.
It was made by Mike Labrum - at his Spiral Pottery in Ambleside.
It dates to the 1970s - and takes the form of a tall chimney shaped vase. It flares out at the bottom and then where the top gets narrow flares out again to form an elegant rim.
It is an oxide rust-brown colour - with little ribs around the outside - where the potter's fingers have pulled the vase upon his wheel.

Love the colour of the glaze and the shape. A tall piece - measuring about 8 1/2 inches in height.
It is made of a heavy stoneware clay - and you can see this on the base - and there is also Mike Labrum's potter's mark - a little incised spiral as photographed.
A very elegant piece of his work and offered at a fair price.
