They all date to the late 1970s. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eI have a number of these in my store, as photographed. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis plate is one of a series of 12. They all reveal the story of Aladdin, The folk tale (from the 1001 NIghts) tells how an impoverished young man called Aladdin is recruited by a sorcerer to retrieve a magical oil lamp from a distant cave. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHe is hoodwinked by the sorcerer and finds himself trapped in the cave. Fortunately, Aladdin has also been given a magic ring and when he rubs his hands in despair, he inadvertently rubs the ring, and a djinni appears who whisks him back home. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAladdin is still holding the grubby old lamp when he gets home. When his mother tries to clean it, a second, far more powerful djinni appears, who is bound to do the bidding of the person holding the lamp.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWith the aid of the djinni of the lamp, Aladdin becomes rich and powerful and ends up marrying the beautiful Princess Badroulbadour, the Sultan's daughter. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis plate is No. 5 in the series. The subject shows: The Spirit of the Ring Fling Aladdin Out of the Enchanted Garden\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is unboxed but in excellent vintage condition with no damages. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is no loses to the gilding on the design. The blue background colour is a lot darker (almost blue-black) in \"real life\". \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: just over 6 inches in diameter. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a little built-in plate hanger on the reverse so you can hang it straight onto your wall.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePostage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel).
