Trailed Glass Decoration on the Stem

This is a harder-to-find and much sought-after large chunky goblet or chalice. There are early pieces made at Mdina glass to a design produced by Michael Harris.

I am lucky enough to have two of these in my online store.

It is very interesting with its large decorative addition of swirled glass which has been applied on the stem, as photographed. These stylish goblets or chalices were made from the 1970s up until the 1980s.

This early one is in excellent vintage condition . It has no chips or cracks and the bowl has no residues or marks to the inside.

The glass is apparently not signed; many were left unsigned.

It is a "sea and sand" colour. The main body is a rich blue (like the Mediterranean Sea) with yellow sweeping inclusions throughout (so resemble the sands of the Maltese coast).

Height: 7 1/2 inches. The diameter of the bowl section is 5 3/4 inches and the clear glass foot is 4 1/4 inches. Unpacked with glass is 1.4 kg.

It will have to be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel).
