Two Scottish Ones with Millefiori Canes & Latticino Spokes

This a decorative pair of vintage Scottish glass paperweights. As you can see each one is beautifully made and they were created by Strathearn / Vasart Glass.

There are two on offer as photographed. The first one on offer has a petrol blue ground. It is a Strathearn one datng to the late 1960s or early 1970s. It has a central pale grey rosette from which issues eight matching latticino spokes. The milliefiori canes are bright red and green shades. Sadly, the weight has a couple of pin-tip size dings to the side and a wee surface scuff. If perfect would be listing at £60 - but since it is not perfect it is a much reduced £20. You cannot see the little dings on display. I have phographed the crown so you can see how clear it is. These tiny blemished could be easily be polished as the issues are confined to the surface near the base.

The second weight has the same issues - and also being listed at £20 reduced from £60. It is possibly a Vasart one dating to the late 1960s but have classified it here as a pair to the Strathearn one. This one has a pale lemon yellow ground. It has a Royal Blue rosette and eight white latticino spokes. The millefiori canes are in blue and grey shade. This one sadly has a wee 3 mm long scratch on the side near the base. This is not visible on display. Again, a surface scratch of minor nature that could easily be polished off.

Dimensions: The blue and red Strathearn is 2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The yellow one by Vasart / Strathearn is 2 inches height and just over 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Nice reduction in prices dues to them not being totally perfect.

They are a good pair for a starter collection of Scottish vintage millefiori paperweights.

It will be posted to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel).
