I am thinking that it might been inspired by Scandinavian design, as reflected in the use of turned teak sections and the application of a fine sheet of woven flattened straws as a decorative element. It is certainly very modernistic rustic in detail. It would have fitted in with the interest in macrame and homespun items at the start of the 1970s.

The straw covering has a seam down the back, as photographed. Perhaps it you wish to replace this textile section you could remove it and replace with some paper or fabric of your choosing.

It is also reminiscent of wood and corrugated card lamps made by Gregory A. van Pelt at this time. It takes a modern bayonet light bulb.

It will certainly look just the part in a Scandi-modern interior with a cream-coloured drum shaped hessian shade. Sadly, I do not have its original shade.

It is certainly a very elegant shape. It is a substantial table lamp made of a solid piece of heavy teak. The grain is just beautiful, as is the rich colour of the wood. It is in good vintage condition with no cracks, nasty chips etc

Better give you the dimensions. The height from base to top of bulb holder is 15 1/2 inches - it has a diameter of 5 inches. It has 2 meters of cable.

It will have to be sent to you with Parcelforce24. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/1970s-tall-scandinavian-style-teak-table-lamp-with-woven-straw-cladding-vintage-lighting-215.webp?v=1788508146
https://www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk/products/1970s-tall-scandinavian-style-teak-table-lamp-with-woven-straw-cladding
