It is an early weight and is dated on the base 1972.  It was designed by Colin Terris and it was one of the Caithness paperweights featuring engraving to the exterior as part of the design. It was a limited edition of 500. It was first issued for £55 (over 50 years ago). This is is No. 210.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is rare and a much sought-after weight.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe paperweight has a very dark blue ground with slightly lighter dark light sprinkles which suggest waves at sea. There is a ring of tiny air bubbles all around the edge. Around the side of the weight - are sweet little fish engraved into the surface - four in total and two flumes of seaweed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in good condition with no chips or scratches etc. I have taken lots of images for you to look at all the details in close-up.  Height is 2 inches - and with a diameter of 3 inches.
