He favoured the use of wax resist decoration in his pots. The mark on the base is very similar to the ones recorded on other similar vases made by him.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Aldermaston Pottery was founded in Berkshire in the 1950s by Caiger-Smith and Geoffrey Eastop. Over the years the studio has been home and training ground for many fine British art potters. \u003cspan\u003eOver 40 years, about sixty artists worked at the Aldermaston pottery, producing beautiful hand-decorated earthenware. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pottery is best known for its fine tin-glaze wares.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis delightful little hand-painted vase is in great vintage condition and has no damage. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHeight is just under 6 inches. The diameter at the base is just over 2 3\/4 inches and the diameter at the top is just over 3 1\/2  inches.
