The style of the little iconic Iitala label dates to this period. This design now know as \"Tapio\" was first made for 1954 Milan Triennial. It features a detail that Wirkkala had introduced only the year before - the technique is called \"stick blowing\" where a wet stick is inserted into the glass to create a decorative air bubble.   \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese glasses have always been popular - and they are still made today and are still top-quality hand-blown pieces. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese ones are now over 40 years old - all this stickers and in excellent condition. They are more for shots or perhaps in Finland for schnapps. They are great size for making toasts with or for a quick cheeky winter warmer.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDimensions: smaller glasses they are each just under 4 1\/2 inches (11 cm). This size, I believe, has now been discontinued and a bit harder to source.
