It is probably German in origin, carved in the Black Forest style.   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe mirror probably was originally designed as a tabletop one - with a stand at the back but has recently been converted to hang on the wall.    This mirror and Black Forest frame are just exquisite - and as you can see from my photographs the carving is certainly superior in detail and craft. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe mirror frame is intricately carved with such attention to detail. It is covered with oak meandering leaves all around. I love the inclusion of all the sweet little acorns. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis is all superb quality - and will look fantastic in a period interior or as part of your collection of fine Black Forest carvings. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe mirror has its original wooden backing - but has sadly lost its original tabletop stand. There is now a little ring hook on the back at the top to allow you to hang it on your wall (as photographed). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDimensions: from top to bottom of the wooden frame is 16 1\/2 inches. The width is 13 inches. The mirror glass measures 9 1\/2 inches in height and 7 1\/2 inches wide. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"col-group col-flush\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"col-xs-2 col-md-3 col-xl-6 pl-xs-0 no-wrap\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"align-with-btn text-gray-lightest\" data-ui=\"limit\"\u003eAs you can see from my photographs - such beautiful carving, and the mirror and its frame are in excellent antique condition. It is in really good antique condition with no obvious losses to the carving or nasty chips or discolouration to the wood.
