It dates to the late 19th century or early 20th century.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe charger has a swirling dragon in the central panel - and is surrounded with a very intricate decorative border.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe back of the plate is decorated with a bright turquoise thick enamel on a textured ground - made to resemble the scales of the dragon. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe colours used on this piece are just gorgeous and very subtle - with a coffee and dusty pink coloured dragon with blood-red tendrils and white toes on a dark ultramarine ground. There are stylised abstract floral patterns all around - these pick up some of the colours used in the dragon - and form a very attractive decorative border.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis charger is a large size with a diameter of 14 1\/4 inches (36 cm). It has a height of 5 cm.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt is in excellent condition - with no dents to the metalwork, and no losses to the cloisonne enamel.
