The clips press onto the two sections of the shade to hold top and bottom together.  My asking price takes into account the original clips as no longer present. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo change the light bulb or pop in a new bulb - you would take out the screws holding the joined glass section to the copper fitment. I would recommend that you practice this before hanging the shade up. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt is a lovely light shade- complete with copper fittings and hook (marked holophane, as photographed) and chunky hanging chains. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEverything that you see in my images will be sent to you. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis top-quality old shade is in excellent condition with no chips or damages to the glass. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe diameter of this fine antique light is 12 inches. It is 11 inches in height (including the hook section). The length of the hanging chain is about 16 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shade comes with the original heavy cast brass ceiling rose hook.
