They have black painted eyes with blue surrounds. Their chains are also all hand-painted with matching copper-toned shiny lustre links.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey are genuine Victorian examples, and definitely not reproductions. They are nicely modelled examples in good antique condition - and form a matched pair as created.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONDITION: they are both in excellent condition with no nasty chips or damages - the lustre glaze is not rubbed and is nice and very shiny. There is no crazing or discolouration to the glaze. A very attractive large antique pair - you will not be disappointed with them. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne dog is slightly higher than the other - this is how they were designed as one is a boy doggie and the other a smaller girl dog.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is an air vent hole on the back of each dog, as expected.  They are such a fine pair and will look fabulous on a country kitchen dresser or on a fireplace in a Victorian parlour. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis larger pair is 12 ½ inches in height with a width of 9 ¾ inches and a depth of 4 ¼ inches.
