Brass Hinged Lid","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is a beautiful Art Nouveau \/ Jugendstil Pampas Inkwell made in Austrian by Kralik Glass.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is one of two similar antique inkwells that I have in my store. The other one is the green one (with slight damage and priced accordingly). It dates to around 1905.   I have taken a couple of photographs of both of them together so you can see what they look like on display. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSimilar Kralik inkwells with three buttressed corners and trailing bands are on display in the Passau Museum in Germany.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis inkwell has a clear \/ white iridescent body with bright turquoise blue ribbon decorations. It inkwell - as the usual leaf-shaped brass hinged lid. The lid has been polished up on the exterior - but left with its original patina inside.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAgain, a nice larger size for an inkwell - the diameter of the base is about 11.5 cm. The height including the lid cover is about 6.5cm  \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn good antique condition with no chips or cracks in the body section. It has a fitted glass inkwell pot inside, as photographed. The fitting of the glass inkwell pot looks a little rough so I have reduced the price a little to take this into account. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese beautiful Nouveau inkwells are now hard to source and are items for the specialist collector.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePostage will be with  UK Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery postage.
