{"product_id":"barovier-toso-vintage-murano-art-glass-grosse-costolature-clamshell-bowl-spiders-web","title":"Barovier \u0026 Toso; Vintage Murano Art Glass Grosse Costolature Clamshell Bowl and Spider's Web Design","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is a lovely piece of vintage Murano glass - which is attributed to Barovier \u0026amp; Toso.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is very typical of their fabulous designs from the late 1960s and early 1970s. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs you can see from my photographs - it is very pretty in form and colours.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bowl has two rolled-down finger shapes on the center of each longer side - which look very decorative - but also formed little rests for a cigarette in the past. Of course - the bowl is now lovely and clean and there is certainly no evidence of it ever having been used as an ashtray.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is certainly a very decorative piece of Italian glass - to me, it looks a little like a clear and cranberry-pink striped clamshell.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe glass is very thick with a spiral of cerise glass running right through it all. They call this kind of inclusion a spider's web.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt measures 6 inches at the longest and across it is 4 inches. The height is 2 1\/4 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in good vintage condition. The weight unpacked is nearly 600 grams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePostage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Size) post.
